Balanced Life

balanced lifeMy Balanced Life

Our lives are constantly changing and evolving.  We are always exposed to new experiences, new knowledge, and new life lessons.

In order to keep our center in this constant stage of evolution it is important to have a balanced life. What does a balanced life mean to you?

For me it is to be mentally, physically, and emotionally in synchronization.  I have several hobbies which keep me physically active: martial arts, dance, walking, and swimming, anything that keeps the body in motion.

When looking at mental stimulus I love to challenge myself—read, write, draw, and find a way to constantly learn something new.  For my emotional balance I have my core foundation of friends, family, people I can speak with and connect with.

Who are those people for you?  Ask yourself about all of these different areas.  Are you emotionally feeding your life?

I had my birthday yesterday and I felt happy to be exactly where I am at, being with who I am with, and loving life as I do.  It is something I hope for, for everyone out there.

  1. Balance is important. We have lost some of the ways that help us maintain balance. One of the most important way we balance, is PLAY. Play recharges us and integrates all of our experiences so they can benefit us.Many of us stop playing when we become adults. Play is absent from many of our relationship, even our sexual ones. This is one of the reasons that relationships become boring. Sex becomes a responsibility rather than an opportunity to "PLAY" with someone we Love. To maintain a deeper level of balance, we must relearn how to play. Having a great mate, great job, a great house and a great car can still leave us empty. Of course, things and accomplishments can feel good, but without the joy of play to provide context we wonder, "Is that all there is?" Play fills that emptiness
