Abundance

Abundance The Puzzle of Life
abundance

Do you ever wake up and feel that the whole world makes sense and it is suddenly so much smaller than you thought.  It is as though you are looking at your life as one big puzzle and all of the pieces finally match up.  That is what abundance feels like.  And I realize more and more that what I think dictates my reality…literally.

I was listening to a lecture last night from a woman who has dedicated a large portion of her time to understanding the way our brains work.  She broke down how our brains are constantly changing when we learn something new but also we can strengthen it, just like a muscle, when we want to retain old (yet valuable information).  Unfortunately, we also retain negative habits and experiences and they only get stronger the more we activate that part of our brain.

So hearing, “I can’t, I won’t, I couldn’t, I wouldn’t, I’m unable, I'm incapable, unworthy,” leads our mind to strengthen those internal and external messages.  You ever hear someone say, “Oh, I could just die!”?  Whether they believe that or not, it doesn’t matter.  They are sending themselves a message.  What do you send to yourself?

When I was younger I was in student government at my college and took several leadership training courses.  One of them spoke of the power of happiness.  At the time I thought it was kind of hookie but after the training I tried out some of the techniques.  I started my day with positive affirmations, anytime someone said something negative to me, I quickly turned around and told myself ten positive things that I liked about myself and that I was doing well.  I looked at sprucing up the world around me with colors that I enjoyed, looking up their meanings and seeing if they fit with my mood.

Surprisingly, this turned my world upside down and I was really very happy.

Recently, I had a very scary situation occur and since, it has shattered a bit of that happiness. But this very morning, I woke up and thought of my lecture last night on programming my brain, the many trainings on happiness & wellness, the wonderful people around me who are constantly rooting me on with my book and this blog, and just the amazing things that are happening in my life at this moment (at this very time!) and I suddenly remember that puzzle.  I see all of those pieces fitting together and matching up perfectly.  Abundance is here and waiting for you to seize it.

We are the creators of our universe, make yours one full of abundance and happiness.

  1. Such a great post. And yes, knowing about the brain can really help us be better.
