Divine Table 9: How it began

Divine Table 9: How it began

divine table 9It all started on a cold day in January. I had just finished a conversation with a publisher friend of mine, discussing the cost it would take to bring a book to life. I was crushed. Perhaps it was my youthful ignorance or blind-sighted hope that my dream of writing and publishing a book would be as easy as baking an apple pie. I was wrong.

It was that very same day that I received an email about the Hay House writer’s cruise coming up in just a few months. The best part, it was in the Caribbean. Now, for any of you know me, I’m a beach-loving babe. I grew up in Southern California on the water, and I’ve been land-locked in Northern California for the past seven years! Unbearable, I know.

That being said, I was thrilled at the synchronicity of this upcoming opportunity. With a sweet smile, and some arm-twisting, my husband agreed. A chance to learn more about the publishing process, as well as win a chance to be published, sounded like a win-win to us.

Now, fast-forward six months to Fort Lauderdale, Florida. The thrill of being back in warm weather and water was exciting enough, but I had no idea what was in store for me aboard that Princess Cruise ship. The opening seminar was informational, and I enjoyed seeing so many eager faces just waiting to shower the world with their literary gifts. And, the evening dinner arrangements were what made the trip fabulous!

It’s where Divine Table 9 was born. All of us vibrant, “young” (by comparison to the other Hay House traveler standards), and sparky gals were put together at table 9. Conversation flowed easily. Laughter filled the room. It was another perfect meeting of the minds as we shared life, love, and our passion to make a difference.

Talks grew into lengthy conversations on the ship. Those dialogues transformed into adventures while island-hopping in the Caribbean. And, meaningful friendships were formed.

Divine Table 9 is more than a blog. It’s more than a group of women who want to share positive, uplifting, and purposeful messages. It’s a blending of souls on a journey to remind humankind that we are on our way home, that we’re on a path to live from the heart, and that our experience here on Earth can be a hell of a lot of fun. So, I encourage you to sit back, enjoy our banter, and love your life just as much as we do!
