What dreams may come...follow yours now!
One
should never be content with his/her level of achievement but rather
should continuously strive to better oneself in all aspects of the study
of Life. Just as a mountain climber reaches the pinnacle of his/her
goal, he/she realizes that there are infinitely more pinnacles or goals
to reach for. If, however, the climber stops before reaching the top and
contently turns back, he/she is no better than those who did not
attempt the climb initially. The student of Hwa Rang Do should always
attempt to integrate and unify the mind and body into harmony with the
natural universe, thus enabling both the mental and physical realms to
be healthy, alert and calm.

You just have to believe that those dreams are possible and give into that feeling.
By focusing on the now and believing that what you want can come sooner than later, your dreams will shoot from your subconscious into reality. Before, I felt like I was floating through life with no specific direction. Sure I had dreams but they were out there somewhere in the future instead of in my present. When I kept dreaming of the future, it seemed more and more distant. There was a day that I awoke into believing that what I wished could be closer than I thought.
It was June 6, 2010. I was on a ship speaking to women from all over the United States and I realized, 'I am here. This is me in the process of fulfilling my dreams. It's not in the future, the future is now.' When reflecting back, that was a catalyst into the many feet that lay before me and now a year later my book is launching. I remember my mother talking me into going on that HayHouse cruise and me being the skeptic. My parents have always believed in me and I know that without their push, getting to that moment of recognition would have been further away. I was the mountain climber that wanted to turn back when I was halfway to my goal. They pushed me on telling me I can persevere and with that push, the mountain seemed smaller.
So surround yourself with an environment of nourishment whether that be a friend, family, teachers, peers. There are people out there who believe in your success even when you do not...or at least not yet! And believe that today can bring you closer to the dreams of tomorrow because they will.
My ultimate goals are to keep sharing my views of the world through my writings and speeches, spending time with my family and friends who love me, gaining knowledge to better myself and others, seeing the world and its infinite possibilities, and to continue believing. What is your ultimate dream or goal? Go for it!
“Just halfway through this journey of our life I re-awoke to find myself inside a dark wood, way off course, the right road lost." –Dante’s Inferno translated by Tom Phillips (Alighieri, pg. 10 lines 1-3)

Dreams
Hi Ina.
ReplyDeleteI’m glad that you found the value in you so early. I took me decades to know of my value. The nuns that taught me had convinced me I was dumb and worthless. Since they were my teachers, I believed them. Probably the main thing that helped me find my value was my intention to become the best person I could be. As I resolved my shortcomings and let go of all the baggage I carried, my opinion of myself grew and I started to feel my value. This feeling of inner value is what gives me hope that I will be able to contribute is some small way to nudge this world in the direction of Love and Peace.
By believing in yourself and others Dan, you are contributing in a huge way. There is nothing small about your contribution to this world. We needs more people to believe in their own self-worth and value. Thank you for commenting!
