Gender roles

Gender roles: Male & Female Triangles

Gender roles can be defined by the medical dictionary as “the pattern of masculine or feminine behavior of an individual that is defined by a particular culture and that is largely determined by a child's upbringing.”  Simply put, all of the beliefs, attitudes, and values of that you hold continually affect the way you view life and act within it. This can be especially true for the expectations of male and female roles in relationships.
The limitation of following societal gender roles when looking for, wooing, or committing to a life mate often comes with unfulfilled expectations of your partner. Your ideas might not match theirs, and vice versa.
Instead of having false hopes about how a man or woman could, should or must behave in a relationship, consider the basic principles that make males and females different. This can be seen through the basic shape of a triangle.
Men need physical touch, validation for their words, and to be needed in a relationship. To find out how to boost these male points, and to discover what’s at their core, watch this video:

Women also need loving physical contact to be content. However, they need to feel respected and wanted by their man to keep them at their highest potential. In addition, their core is entirely different than males. Find out what the female core is in this video:

Then, once you have an understanding of how men and women tic in relationships, you can utilize clear communication and positive action boost those differences. As a result, you’ll enhance love, joy, and harmony in your relationship. And, you’ll move far beyond any expected ways of living, being, and breathing as a man or woman, and find the unique path that works for you both to keep your relationship strong and successful.

Gender Roles

Gender Roles: A Two Lane Road
gender roles

I believe that each human being is a combination of feminine and masculine energies. A balance is necessary. A woman needs a bit of charge and a man needs a bit of sensitivity. No, I don't believe a woman or a man needs to "stay in his or her own lane", and I acknowledge that there is nothing black and white about gender. After all, there are those individuals who are biologically one sex, yet feel more aligned to the opposite gender. That being said, I believe there is something positive about gender roles

Gender roles are... natural.

That may sound a little taboo in this society but that's the thing about societies--societies are often manipulated in the name of so-called development. If you have any doubt that gender roles are natural, look to nature! Animals in the wild take on specific roles. It's a matter of survival. There's something to that.

As for me, I'm very attracted to masculine energy. I like the man to be able to fix things, to be physically strong, to be mentally stable (not that a woman is the opposite of these things). Still, I like a balance: I love a man that's in touch with nature—the natural flow of things in the natural world, a man that can communicate and listen, that is thoughtful and sweet.
I believe that feminine and masculine energies work best hand-in-hand—both in a partnership and in an individual.

Gender Roles

Gender Roles

While I am one to crave independence, particularly because I have strong women figures in my family—such as my mom and sister. I still (personally) love the idea of letting a "man be a man". I’d love to cook dinner for my husband or husband to be even work from home to be a stay-at-home mom.

There also nothing like being treated like a lady! I love it when a man opens my door, “comes to my rescue", a man who holds me at night, and make me feel safe. My future man can even bring home the "bacon". I would be okay with that. BUT there is a lot going on now-a-days that I have observed. I have observed that these roles have been misplaced. For one- wanting that could come off like I am a "gold digger". Second I am surround be such strong women, not working and getting my "own" shouldn't even be a thought about.

AND YET still us “real women” have to bob & weave through a crowd of cowards. Some men actually expect to be taken care of and I ain't talking about laundry. I've seen it, some men are afraid to be men—A little off the subject but where I am going with this is: there is a little girl in all of us waiting for our knight, our prince a “real Man”. We go out into this world with lot ideas on what to expect and how men should be but what we should do is write out what role WE want our man to play in our lives. Not what everyone says and thinks on what we want.

We, you, should take from past experiences, ask yourself what was is it that I REAALLY want and create the perfect, your perfect "gender role".  I would add go ahead forgive and heal your emotional woes of past expectations and begin again to have faith.

Now I don't completely agree with the idea of “gender roles”. I am not nor will I ever plan to be the average "stay at home mom". I believe in fulfilling dreams, putting my desires first, exhausting my talents, earning an income and being seen as capable and equal to any man. I also desire respect as a human being, not just as a women, not just due to gender.

We sometime forget these roles can be fun and fulfilling. Some things just come naturally to (some) women and (some) men. Using these strengths to build and create a beautiful life should be the goal.
So go, write out your desires, picture it, and make room for him to fit into your life. Because when we fail to dream again, to believe in love again, we fail to really live.
