The Wisdom Within

If you’ve been around the self help block you would be familiar with the term “inner voice.” This voice, to brief you, is your internal guidance system, your intuition & your true self. It’s ageless, intelligent and formless. It sometimes speaks to you through

feelings. I am sure you can recall someone or yourself saying,“Something told me I shouldn’t have XYZ.” “I had a feeling I should have X, Y, Z.” I refer to it as the “wisdom within”.

“Changing The Face of Wisdom” the title of my eBook & website spawned from that voice. There was a time I had so much static between “wisdom” and I couldn’t understand the directions it would give me. I would struggle with the depth of insights I would receive because a lot of my actions and who I thought I was on the surface contradicted themselves. Therefore I had to “[Change] the Face of Wisdom”.

Wow, now looking back I can’t believe how long my journey was, how long it took me to settle into what I “felt” I was meant to do. In so many ways I resisted my gifts, my “greatness”. One of Les Brown slogans is “You have greatness within you”. I would get emotional listening to him because my belief in myself was so minimal. I also recalled him saying that it took him years before he thought he could get on a stage, and how he would talk himself out of doing what he is doing now.

I wonder what you’re talking yourself out of doing?

Every time I move towards my true goals, accomplish them and even fail I always find a new found respect for those who succeed before and after me. I say that because the most difficult thing to do in life is overcome “yourself”. On this journey it seems, sometimes you have to betray yourself and all the thoughts of limitation accumulated in life and begin to listen to the wisdom within.

The wisdom within does not just guide you in and out of trouble.

 

It is always communicating with you in some form but only to the extent of your awareness of it. There are also some layers, static that must be removed to clearly hear it.

The Wisdom in Our Hearts

The Wisdom in Our Hearts

I can feel the truth of why I can’t have certain things when I want it, be it love of a man or material positions. I have this knowing that it’s not him, that “he’s not the one” or that it’s not time.

But the childlike mind wins with “I want it anyways!”

I go after it, receive and I learn the hard way.

The biggest lesson I learned is that no- thing, nor no person will bring me (long lasting) happiness. (Also what may bring another happiness may not bring me.) Especially, prematurely.

How many times have you been there? Where you could look back and say something told me he or it ain’t right. But we proceed without caution.

I believe we will always posses all three: the women, the girl and the child/baby. (the man, the boy & the…) Our intuition can only go as far as we listen to it. But if we only listen to the women, the girl or the…it will either guide us to greater discovery or destruction.

Our heart is the greatest gift of all; it carries far more wisdom than our feelings that could either grow beautifully, die softly and/or make us suffer hard.

But we want what we want when we want it!

And with all of me I say: sit down!

(God/Universe may have something for you or someone greater…)

Grow an understanding between your heart, mind & feelings about your innermost desires. This is essential to create harmony within & to uncover your TRUE desires with long lasting fulfillment!

Whether it be:

Your career

Your relationships

Your loneliness

Now of these three:

Your Heart

Your Mind

Your Soul

Bring them into a meeting and have a full discussion.

Weird, right? But dammit, if you’ve been hitting a wall, you’re not listening to your inner voice.

It’s time to sit down and figure YOU out!

Within you it’s in fact “figured out”- I know I am contradicting myself….but…

Deep down…

You know, like, you know that, you know more than you know. It’s in you, real deep.

To begin to uncover this knowing, the wisdom in your heart…

Start with putting your hand on your heart and say, “I’m going to listen to you more” or just sit with your hand on your heart and quietly reflect.

Let no man, no woman….not society, not your circumstances tell you what’s possible, what you are meant to do, what you are capable of or what’s going to make YOU happy. Only you know…to the extent you are willing to listen, learn and love.
