Positive Self Talk

Positive Self Talk -

How you talk to yourself is more important than you can imagine. What you feel the world is withholding from you, you have the power to change it. Right now! Go to the mirror and acknowledge all you’ve done. Do it daily. Say things you’ve been waiting for someone to say. Start with, “I love you.” Or “I am beautiful.”

Jack Canfield (The Secret & Self Help Best Selling Author) spends time in the mirror acknowledging and encouraging himself, so why can’t you? You will find that becoming a better friend to yourself, you can be a better friend to the world.

How much negativity in put downs and let downs do you deal with?

How hard are you on yourself, hoping to get things right?

Well, positive self talk will shift your energy and inner dialog! You will strengthen that small voice of courage and self-esteem.

The difference between who you are and where you’re at is what you’re telling yourself and what you believe. And a belief is just something you say over and over again.

You can use positive self talk with affirmation to create your perfect self.

Creating your perfect self:

Much like the list I have for my perfect man, I have one for my perfect self. I drew my list from my past experience of likes and dislikes from people. Funny thing is that’s what life truly is about; molding and sculpting yourself from all walks of life-to choose over and over what you want and what you don’t. Most focus too much on the dislikes and what they hate that they don’t see the deep underlying purpose.

I consistently and consciously take the good from the bad. It gives me much peace of mind. I then turn it into creating an even better outlook, so I can be aware of them now in my experiences.

All things exist here and now, just at your level of awareness, which is guided by your focus. Focus on your list of your new self and build an image that your subconscious must respond too.

Start with I am_______.

List positive characteristics & attributes of people you admire.

You will start to notice you all ready carry some but with all the negative not positive self talk, like a sun shine coming out of the clouds, it will now be easier to see. With positive self talk you can amplify your awareness by your focus & attention on it.

Positive self talk, self-image and self-esteem is also essential to success in all areas.

For people respond to how you carry yourself and how you carry yourself is from how you see yourself.

With Love,

positive self talk

Core Foundations

How I Found My Core Foundation...

I remember it was my twenty-sixth year, I was over a quarter of a century old, and I didn’t have a large foundation of core friends that I could go to when I needed to talk about life, my dreams, pursuits, and joys.  It was not a bad thing.  I had best friends, an amazing guy, and a strong family unit, but I kept having this feeling that there was a group of people I was destined to meet and once I’d met them my life would never be the same.   They were out there and I needed to find them.
core foundation
At the time I was working on finalizing the written portion of my children’s book and was trying to figure out my next step.  That was when my mother called me wanting to talk about this publishing cruise she had heard about.  She first had to explain what that was.  ‘Publishing Cruise?’ I thought.  Hayhouse, a publishing company focused mostly on wellness books, was putting on a conference with amazing speakers who would explain how to get your book published…the next step…I was resistant thinking of a week at sea, when I hadn’t even spent a day on the ocean.

Do I have motion sickness?  I don’t even know.  Will I miss seeing land?  These were some of the thoughts that rolled through my mind, but my mother strongly urged me to take the trip.  She has always been extremely intuitive when it comes to decisions such as these.  So I made preparations to go on this journey, flying into Fort Lauderdale Florida.  Then from there I loaded onto a giant ship called the Emerald Princess, signing my life away for at least the next week.  This cruise ship was the biggest ship I’d ever seen in my life.  I felt like I was in the movie “Titanic”, but instead of men in suits and woman in long gowns, it was Hawaiian shirts and day dresses.  After exploring the cruise and getting the lay of the land, it was time for dinner. The day was June 6th and it was at that dinner table, Table 9, that I met extraordinary women.  We spent a week conversing, debating, laughing, and energizing.  I felt alive!  It was as though I was breathing new air into my lungs.  We kept running into each other throughout the ship and each time we did we would have in depth conversations for hours.  Each woman was unique, creative, beautiful, and smart.  They impacted my life and filled a void that I had not truly known was there.  I knew that this was a pinnacle in my life and that these women had changed me for the better…forever.
From that trip I learned many things, one being: seek a core group of people to share your life with.  Having this set foundation allows you an emotional outlet and gives you the power of balancing your life through support and love.  These women have helped me through rough patches, been my cheerleaders when I accomplished goals, and been my wings when I needed to lift off and take flight.

Be intentional and what you seek will find its way to you.
