Expectation

Expectation

Often times expectations can cause anxiety when putting them on yourself or others, but expectations, when applied in a constructive manner, can be great tools to help you reach new heights. They can be goals that you strive for, making your greatest dreams possible. The key is knowing your pace and what are realistic expectations to give yourself.  If you're want to be a mountain climber and Everest is calling you, try joining a hiking group or set up steps to obtain the knowledge to reach your goal.  Anything is possible if you are willing to break it down into steps, ask for guidance, and set milestones.

With passing each milestone, we are further driven to fulfill our expectations.

When pertaining to expectations you have for other people, realize that unless they have a similar vision those expectations may not be met.  Just as when someone has expectations and goals for you and they do not always align.  Not everyone has the same dream, but that is why communication, understanding and acknowledgement are keys to creating visions for you, your partner, your family, or community.  Know that not everyone aligns with you and your expectations and that is okay.  You are your own infinite being and some synergize while others do not.  It all depends on where you are at in your life and where they are in theirs.

Expectations allow you to continually learn more about where you are at in your life and where others are as well. Know that expectations do not have to be a burden, they can be a blessing.  Good luck and dream big!
